low ph due to co2

I've been dealing with this since the start of the tank. The ph always hovers in the 7.8-7.9 range during the day and down to 7.6 at night. When i can open the windows all is great and well.

I've ran a line from the skimmer to the outside world and it has made little effect.

My tank is very lightly stocked imho. A 4-5inch yellow fiji leather, 6 heads of candy cane. few inches of gsp. A few small kenya tree's, a small clam, small green tipped toadstool, 7 recordia's, 4-5inch rock covered in zoas, and now the gbta.

salinity 1.026
calcium is 420
alk is 10
mag is 1440

I run t5 sups without reflectors im sure they ad some par just not much from 3pm until 10:30pm
I run the mh from 4 until 10pm
the reefugium bulb runs from 10pm until 7 am.

What can i do? The tank always looks alot better when the ph is 8.0 or higher when i can open the windows.

I do weekly 10g water changes with reef crystals. total water id estimate at 40-45 gallons. Tank is a 40g br with 35-40#'s of lr and the 20g sump is partitioned into three sections. skimmer, return, reefugium with cheato.

I'm trying kalk right now with a 20oz bottle with a drip every 12 seconds. and no effect yet with half of the bottle gone. I dont want to dose much since my levels are where i want them except ph. I might have to change to reg ol instant ocean so i can add alot of kalk to keep my levels constant.

any idea's

How does your livestock look?

How are you measuring the pH?

It may not matter if the tank looks good.

The tank looks alright, But not the glory that it could be. The growth rate of the things i have isnt good. I take pictures once a month so my eyes dont fool me.

The tank is ran off of a neptune ac3 and that is how i read the ph. Ive checked and checked the calibration on the probe and i know a bad probe isnt the issue. If i take some tank water and aerate it outside ph will jump to 8.2-8.3

How fast is the effluent going into the aquarium?
What is your bubble count?
What is the pressure of C02 towards media?
