Lost my Sherman Rbta :( ... its going to make it!

[update .. Last night it looked okay in a ball but trying to recover this morning it was attached to a rock and starting to come out. My clown is waiting on it to open up.]

Last night I noticed my Sherman starting to roam my rock work so this morning it wasn't in it's spot. I looked and couldn't find it so I just thought it moved to the back of the rocks.... NO of course not. I looked up and there it was stuck in my K4 powerhead. I turned it off and it's hurt pretty bad. just my luck waited and watch the boards for 2 yrs and finall get 1 and this happens.

Worst part everyone that came to my house was just struck by it's color and I was proud to tell them about it.[/img]
 
tough luck.....you said hurt pretty bad? If still alive, I've seen one torn in half and survive, so there's always the chance.....

Sometimes I've seen items on the boards run in groups. I will not see a particular item, and then see new postings everyday. With everyone knowing your situation, hopefully when one splits, you will be first on everyone's list.

just when you think you've turned the corner bam something else. I turned the pump off and had to leave for work I'm going home for lunch to see what it looks like. didnt look good though.

I've been on a few waiting lists. HATE Mondays !
 
I had a RBTA get stuck in a pump in the past and ended up two of them in the long run and that was with one damaged petty bad. So depending on how bad the injury it could recover. By the way I now have three of them since on split since then.
 
I'm keeping my finger crossed so hopefully mine will pull through. My wife called and said its pretty bad but I cant trust her judgement she thinks everything in the tank has died at least 1 time.
 
unless you see its guts spewing out you never know....maybe you will have a couple srbta :D :D
 
i had a nem get stuck in a maxi jet and i just pulled the grate off and let it escape on its own. i have since placed foam over the intakes to limit these issues. As bad as it looked it freed itself, hid for about a week, and then made an appearance looking just fine. hopefully yours pulls through, if you have good water quality i bet it will make it. good luck, sorry to hear it, thats never fun to see.
 
My luck stinks... half floated up and was stuck to my overflow and the half was rolling on the bottom of the sand bed.

So the search continues for my rbta again.
 
The two halves still could heal, unless you've tossed them out. Remember, there were people cutting these in half and the anemone survives.
 
nope still have them I put them in my sump hoping they would look alittle better. Once I get home I will take alook and watch them overnight if they last that long. I have water ready to do a water change if things start to go south.

Well it decided to move again last night . I woke up this morning and it wasnt on a rock anymore. I looked at all 3 powerheads and nothing so I figured it crawled to the back . Nope instead it crawled to the left corner of the tank right under the same power head that beat it up.

Lucky I thought about it and turned that powerhead off last night before going to bed so no harm done.
