I am getting my tank set up slowly. It is a 65gal (36in wide) and I am looking to set it up as FOWLR for now, but want lighting to be capable of growing corals eventually. What would be a good light for this without breaking the bank on electricity bills.

This looks like a cool option too....Led T5 lighting combo...depending on budget

research reefbreeders lights, they have an LED fixture for under 200 that should do well. I'll be getting one for my 58 in a few weeks.

Thanks all, I went from making good money and not worrying about what I bought, to had to retire from job due to husband's health issues and now money limited. Will look at t5's I suppose or that LED Franklypre mentioned.

Buildmyled has grrat spectrum leds for the price as well. You can even get a custom spectrum for under $200 as well.

Man i love the coloring of a 4 or 6 bulb t5 but if you got all spectrums on led it would be awesome... Aquastyleonline.com has some neat diy kits
