long Spinned Urchin

I am thinking about getting a Long Spine Urchin to help with a little GHA I have popping up. From what I read they do a great job controlling GHA, is that true? Also do these urchins pick up un secured frags like the pincushion urchins do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure how I am getting GHA I have a phosban reactor and a fuge with macro algae, no trates or measurable phosphate. There is not a lot but more then I want.
 
They don't pick up frags, they can get into spaces you'd swear they cant, and man do they munch some algae. Just be careful, those spines are SHARP!
 
Hmm...I have a tuxedo urchin and am constantly playing 52 frag pickup...is he the probable culprit then? I know he is always sporting a new hairdo...a mushroom here, a mushroom there...
 
yea Tuxedo Urchin's are know to pick up and move frags / wear them. Long spines from what i read may knock an unsecure frag off a rock put will not pick them up or wear them. The problem is they get big.
