Live rock

I bought live rock and can see it has bubble alge and probably bristle worms as well. It's currently in a 30 gal container. Can I do a fresh water dip or should I let the rock dry and then cycle it? I'm setting up a new tank that would be mostly corals. Getting back into the game after losing everything because of the outage I couple years back.

Freshwater might clear some if not all the bristle worms. The algae would just come back unless thoroughly scrubbed clean and rinsed very, very well. You could also try emerald crabs for the algae.

For bubble algae, you can try manually removing it from the live rock. Using a siphon to remove the algae during water changes or gently scraping the algae off the rock can help reduce its spread.
