Live rock

[Seems like someone was asking about good pricing on live rock very recently. I am too lazy to do a search to try to find it but look what just showed up in my mailbox:

**** Marshall Island Base Rock ****

ONLY 2.49/lb, comes in 45 lb. boxes. This is the Marshall Island Live Rock with no color but with great shapes and larger size that was so popular back when it was regularly available. A limited quantity is currently available, when this is gone; it's gone for good! Get some while you can! Shipping only $20 anywhere in the continental US.

[Is it base rock, or live rock? The price is nice, but if it is dry rock, it isn't live.]

[Good point. In one place in the write up they call it Live in another they call it Base. I give up. But if someone is interested in rock this is a very fine price not likely to be found in a LFS from what I have seen lately. For any newbies: Base rock will cycle into live rock, just put it in a tank with a piece or two of live rock.]

[Salt

150 Gallon Marine Enterprises Crystal Sea Marine Aquarium Salt $16.99. Shipping only $10 in Texas, only $24 nationwide! (this is heavy stuff!)

Did you also see this?]

[often times the total weight includes the weight of the box and any other packing materials...so you are maybe only getting 42 or 43 pounds of rock. The shipping is usually 2-3 day ground, so even if it is live rock they are selling...it will not be near as live when it arrives on your front porch.]
