Live rock sump

Im in the process of cycling my new 30 gallon tank. Along with the new 30 gallon tank i added a sump. My plan is to run purely pukani live rock in the refugium portion of the sump. I had Marc from dfwmas construct a tray, which i filled with rubble. On top of the tray i placed an egg crate so that i could place rock-size live rock on top. I plan to fill very available space with live rock. My question is, what are the pros and cons when running a purely live rock sump? Is it possible to have to much live rock? Can flow be an issue?
