Little White things in my sump...

Today I had pulled out my protein skimmer to clean it and noticed little white "grub" looking things naging on the the filth on the outside of the tube.
I looked closer and have noticed the same things all over the bottom of my sump and in the sump filter.

what are these things, how do they get there, are they dangerous?
How do I get rid of them?

I plan to do a major remake of my tank in the near future, and do not want these things coming back if they are bad... :?:

have to get a camera,

They are kind of cylindrical, look furry at first,
To me they look like bug larvae,
They are attaching themelves to the wall

man i hope they arent parasites.

They are probably isopods, amphipods, and copepods. They are good. Long nose hawk fish and Manderine Gobies eat them. If you can see them easily, they are isopods, if you can kinda see them, they are amphipods, if you have to squint really really hard, they are copepods.

Yeah you can clearly see these things,

range about 1/16th of an inch to a 1/4" inch long....

Look like they have a "round" mouth (looks like a small snail where the are attaching)

Really they look like a big back half of Brine shrimp

Without pics it's really hard to tell, but have you gone through Marc's identification pages to see if you can see anything that it looks like?
