If it is, then you have flatworm buddy... you need to get some flatworm exit from Salifert.

When you kill it with the flatworm exit, you need to siphon out all of it before it releases its toxing back into the tank.

what would happen if i just left them in the tank? (just wondering) said:
If they are flatworms, they are most likely harmless. However, the reddish-brown type can multiply quickly and can become an eyesore in your tank. Then there are acropora eating flatworms that would only be a threat if you have acropora in your tank. If it's the clear type as shown in the pic above, then I wouldn't worry about them.

With them multiplying like that it sounds like the dreaded red planeria flatworm. Honestly they are more an eyesore then any real danger most of the time. Flatworm exit is a great product that works but use per the directions and follow exactly or you could lose stuff. If you leave alone they will either just wax and wane or takeover and cover all your rock, etc. Dangerous if they do decide to have a mass dieoff because they are toxic to many fish.

Here's a pic from marc's page. Note that they can be much longer/skinnier and look very different but should have some reddish tint to them.

this is what they look like.
Someone posted a worm website and this is really close to what they look like. Species is a flatworm.
Guess they are harmful.
