I have no idea what this is. I bought it of a frag section at a lfs and the employee there said he had no idea either. I made a guess and said possibly hydnaphora but I've never seen it like this or these colors. when he picked it up the little feelers retracted back in and it looked like a tiny favia but once acclimated and happy again the feelers came back out some. I am stumped any one have an idea I left the zoa in the pic for size reference.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm going to say it's a group of baby fungia's or lythophylons. However, it's very hard to tell. Matt could also be right with a favia of some sort.

Thanks Matt and Drew I just googled lithophyllon and it looks like a pretty good match just gonna have to do some more research on it. Do you have any experience or know anything about them? I've never heard of it or seen one, is it rare?

Lythophylon's are pretty rare, and I believe they are in the fungia family.
I'll look it up tomorrow and see if I can get an exact id for you, as well as some advice. From my experience, they are very hardy.

Well still not real sure what it is. I'm claiming it as lithohyllon as Drew directed me that way and it is the closest match but still no definite answer or much info available. It's a really cool piece and can't wait for it to grow out some.
Here go some more shots taken last night

Ok well after a few days of searching and some help on rc and members here I think I know what it is. Pacific East Aquaculture has a piece very similar but different colors in there collectors section called Dr. Mac's RARE Autumn Harvest Psammacora. I'm tired of looking I'm just going to let it grow out and see what it does.
