Lionfish

Okay - I bought a 58 gallon for a quarentine setup and a place to rehome my snowflake eel. While I was at work my 7 year old (Jacque) talked his mom into a lionfish. So much for my idea. :sad: I informed him that he has now limited my/his tank. Any suggestions for a tankmate? I thought maybe a magnificent foxface and a yellow tang.
 
What kind of lionfish? If it is a dwarf you can keep it with just about anything really. I have mine dwarf fuzzy with a cleaner wrasse and a sixline wrasse. I also have a large skunk cleanser shrimp in with him. Just don't expect a new small shrimp not to become dinner. :lol: They don't bother corals either. Just keep him fed, you can tell when they are hungry, they move around more. :D
 
Don't forget about their spines accidentally poking a fish as well and killing them. I read that on another thread somewhere. where it happened to someone's fish.
