Limp Spaghetti

I purchased a Green Spaghetti Leather during the holidays and it hasn't done much since day one. All of my tank parameters are very much in line and the Leather gets good indirect flow. I've moved the position once from a huge amount of indirect flow to another that has moderate indirect flow with no change / no expansion. Any suggestions?

I had an issue with a Rasta similar to that a while back and it looked just like that! The issues was due to low Alk and after fixing that it opened up a couple of days later.

Plus make sure it's not touching any other corals when it expands. :D

Ah Blide your a genius, I?ve slowly dosed a small amount of Reef Builder to increase my Alk from 3meg/l to 4meg/l over the last two nights & days and I am noticing a difference in the Leather; it?s not fully extended just yet but it is showing signs of progress.

...and I know this isn't what you're asking about, but... That "plant" next to it looks like Caulerpa Prolifera... If it is a Caulerpa species, I'd highly recommend you not leave that in your display, they can be quite tenacious, and VERY difficult to eradicate later on...

(They're great in a refuguim, IMHO, but once established in a display, they can be very difficult to remove)

Good deal... Oh an try not to move the coral in the tank anymore that way it can get settled. Be sure to post some updated pics! :D

Plus, I agree with Serk you may regret in the future having that algae in your display.

Yes, I understand I prune weekly; keep in mind that this is a dedicated Seahorse tank first, anything I add, such as the Leathers or Colts are there secondary to the Ponies. I received some really nice Eel grass from Scott and as soon as it spreads in the planted areas of the display tank, then the Polifera will come out.
