Lime & makeup water

[I picked up some lime today, thanks Tnn1567
I use 5 gallons a week of makeup water from evaporation
I drip between 150 and 200 ml per hour
How much lime do I add to my 5-gallon water container?
If I add to much lime, I know I will see snow
However, how much is too much
What parameters do I need to watch?
I am planning on checking my PH at night and adding baking soda to bring it down
What additional test kits do I need?]
 
[I add 1 tsp per gallon typically.

You want to watch your alkalinity and calcium carefully to make sure the numbers are in line.]
