Lighting - How much has it changed in the past 6 years

I just got a new tank after being gone for almost 6years; the tank has been established and has some corals with lots of LR already in it.

I used 2 MHL's way back then; is everything still running about the same or has the LED craze hit the Reef world as well ?
 
People are embracing several brands of LEDs, but there are still many with MHs.
 
I recently switched and am loving the reduction in energy consumption (610 watts to <120), lack of excess heat in the tank and house and huge drop in tank evaporation.
I can't say that I'm 100% happy though; we seem to have issues with LPS on the sandbed losing red coloration. I suspect that I either need to turn up the rays or add more LED colors, not sure which yet.
 
I have the reefbreeders value fixture and have yet to find a downside, other than my inability to take good pics under them. Great price awesome product, so glad to get rid of those heat lamps.
 
I guess like with a lot of things in life we want the latest and doesn't always mean the greatest. I decided to remove the VHO's the tank came with and go with a 2PCS 165W Dimmable LED Aquarium Grow Light Full Spectrum Fish Tank Reef Coral - My decision came down to the heat & water evap - As I love the MHL look and growth; I won't miss the burns, water issues

Now will have to wait to deal with the LED down falls, Thanks eveyone
