Lighting acclimation advice

Need some opinions on how to introduce new bulbs to the tank.

Current lights:
2x 150w Phoenix 14k HQI
2x 39w ATI Blue + T5HO
2x 39w Geissman Super Actinic T5HO

New bulbs will be:
2x 150w Reeflux 12k HQI
4x 39w ATI Blue+ T5HO

I've read that new T5s can push as much as double the PAR of old bulbs so my plan was to replace them one at a time a couple of days apart.

Same for the halide bulbs, replace one and then the other a few days later.

Sound like a solid plan? Need to be longer? Am I worrying too much about it?

All input is appreciated.

Sounds like a good plan to be on the safe side. When I had MH and Actinics I would replace all the MH's at once and or all the actinics at once with no issues.

That sounds like a good plan to me but you may just watch your coral and add them a little slower if you see some coral struggling

I typically replace them all at once as well at 8 month intervals. The reason for caution this time is due to the change in spectrum (14k to 12K) and the addition of 2 more Blue+ which should be punching out a lot more PAR than the pure actinics they'll be replacing.

Thanks for the feedback all!

I changed halides at 9 months and my actinic t5s at 18 months, all I ever did was reduce my lighting period. Halides I run for 8 hours and lowered it to 2 and increased it by 2 each week. T5s are for 12 hours and I dropped them to 3 hours and increased it by 3 hours each week. I've changed to Phoenix from reeflux with no problems using this method so can't believe the other way around would be a problem. Adding the extra t5s I'd just increase my photo period slower.
