How does light going through glass affect the lumens and color temperature? Since lighting the refugium can be done with inexpensive incandescent/self ballasted CF bulbs, I was thinking you could assure more thorough lighting of your macro algae by having lights not only at the top, but also on the sides shooting light towards the bottom of the "clump".
