Light question

[the opening on each end of my tank is 34 long, by 13 width. is this enough room to fit 2 hallides in? i have an overhang of 8 inches along the inside around all the edges. i hope this makes sense. and a center brace that splits both openings up. the overflow is in the middle

[Yes, you can put two MH bulbs next to each other, running them perpendicular to the tank. You may have to modify or make your own reflectors, pretty much creating a very large reflector that is wide enough to fit over the 34" opening with two bulbs inside of it. The bulbs would probably be about 10" apart.]

[you can take a regular reflector and cut it in half. Find some lightning sheet aluminum to fill in the gap and spread the winged part of the reflector 4 inches and put the moguls opposite of each other... make sense?

Your basically stretching the reflector width...4 inches. would work like a charm...
