their must be someone in dwmas besides mark with a prop tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol

Nothing there yet, but been toying with the idea of adding one next to my main tank of my system...

After all, 7 tanks running outta 1 sump just isn't quite enough! :)

One more. :)

I wanted something with easy access, and this light was perfect. There is a thread with plenty of image in the DIY forum detailing its installation.

Tony, I really like your setup. Could you diagram or describe how it works? It looks like the skimmer drops into the prop area and the drain fom the display drops in your refuge area. What kind of sump is that? Did Marc make it? If so, did you design it? Anyway, it loks very nice and clean. Just wondering how it is set up.

Thanks Chuck! Yes, it is a Marc sump that I designed. I knew when I put in two sumps that I would lose the area that my topoff bucket used to sit in, so we just added another wall that goes to the top of the sump for topoff storage. It is fed directly by my RO with a topoff valve and algae has never been a problem even with the 250W halide over my prop section next to it.

The fuge isn't as large as I'd like, but holds enough algae for my tangs. I figure the xenia and other corals in the prop section make up for some of it. I have dual drains on my tank. Although not planned, one drain has much less flow than the other so it goes to the fuge.

Just in case the primary drain got plugged and everything started coming to the fuge, I put dual drains leaving the prop section going back to the return section of the primary sump.
