Leslies' Calcium Increaser.

Has any one used Leslies's Calcium Increaser for the reef tank?
Is it safe for fish and corals?
Any Pros and Cons?
Is it better than Kent Kalwasser ??? etc..........

FYI: Leslie's Calcium increaser is a product for swimming pool.

I used Leslie's Pool Supplies "Hardness Plus" for over 2 years before running my Ca reactor.

There were no observable ill-effect. The only down side to this is that you have to also dose baked baking soda to keep pH and Alk in range. Dosing Ca alone would drop pH.

This stuff is much cheaper than any commercial fish Ca product

Yah use the hardness plus. It's pretty much pure calcium chloride. Over 10 years in peoples tanks with no issues so your pretty safe.
