Has anyone used this?? I was thinking about buying this and adding a rapidled kit to it. This is really a nice looking unit.
Will be my first build but wow the led's are adjustable and well as other features.
Thank you for your comments Karen

I ordered one...a 12" I can configure the leds for the nano if it I upgrade the tank later on I can expand with this heatsink and it is a nice housing also.

Nice, they look awesome. You'll have to tell us how it works out. They are pre-order so I don't think anyone has used them before.

I look forward to seeing how they work out! This could be the ultimate heat sink for DIY LED projects!

Yep..I know it is the first one produced..but it seems so much better than what is currently on the market..a slab on aluminium. Seems to be really thought out and designed to function and if you change your mind about lighting needs no drilling required just unbolt some screws and move at will. But one thing is 100% certain..I am going to need some help.

Definitely looks better than any sink I have seen.

Here is a link with some of the production images.

I'll get a pic up as soon as it arrives.. Now about the led's. When I was a kid Dad thought his little girl should learn how to solder ...been a few years but I understand the basics of it. But truth be know it might be best to use the premade ones from rapid??? Just not there yet..but I need to be asap. All that is offered in that arrangement are blues & whites..and I'm itching for one violet or red in the tank. But this HS...it is just cool. But it sets the standard for all future products. Thank You'all...

My plan for using that heat sink was to use soderless connections. Reason being, easier to upgrade/expand and reconfigure.

Here are some pics of the new heatsink it is a work of art...just stunning. Now waiting on rapid to reformat their light packages. Help I will need for this.. but it is just stunning in person. It is not super light...nor super heavy extremely well made. Just thought I would share & the links will take you to my Photobucket album. Karen
