Leak In Skimmer Collection Cup

I have leak on the inside of my skimmer collection cup and the skimmate leaks back down the tube into the foam. It is made of acrylic. I was wondering if I used superglue gel, on the inside of the collection cup, would it adhere to acrylic and stop the leak?

yes that will work but it will leave a nasty white film on it that you cant get off. I use a product called "weld on #5" sold by tap plastics. It is water thin and really only bonds acrylic and plexi. It is hard to find but great stuff. I live in Grapevine myself maybe I can fix it up for ya.
