Korallin Ca Reactor Help!!!

I have been trying to adjust my reactor for over two months now, what it does is it starts to normally drip and after a while the drip rate slows down (especially when I turn off the return pump) and after a while there is no drip at all, but I see a top layer of gas build up in the chamber (its either O2 or Co2), the media inside turns cloudy since there is no other way out for Co2. So I open the outlet on the top and the thing bursts out with gas. I've tried to keep the top outlet open and closed and still doesn't help.

Im at a point where i'm about to give up on this whole mess. The alkalinity has been jumping like crazy with this stupid thing making this mess. Help!!

Can I ask you how do you restrict the water coming into and thus the drip rate on this reactor? Is the water valve before it enters the reactor or after?

Yea sorry should've mentioned that, the water is pumped via a feeder pump, there is no valves on the inlet, im using the regular orange valve on the outlet to control the drip rate.

For some reason it sound like there is not enough water flow getting into the reactor. Mine was set up that way in the beginning, with a valve on the inlet side. It used to do what you say yours is doing, almost exactly. When I put a valve on the outlet side of the reactor and opened the water flow into the reactor, it completely stopped doing that and has never done it since.

Could it be that the feeder pump is not strong enough? Should I position it on the ground level, because it is right now on the ledge of the sump.

anton, you got another korallin, I have your old one running, you can come by and see how I have it set-up its been working great for me just pm me

Yea I found a deal on another one and couldn't resist it, the problem is that yours was working fine for me so it's really strange that i'm doing the same thing and can't get this one to work.

Sounds like this may be an issue, can you submerge your feed pump??

Cheers,
