I have four Koralias running on a Red Sea wave maker. The problem I am having is that when the timer cycles through, the magnet/propeller smacks back and forth on the pin until it spins in the right direction. This impact has caused the front grill to snap off in all of my koralias after a period of a few months. I have tried to add a bit of tubing to restrict the front to back motion of the magnetic propeller, but ultimately, the front grill (which holds the pin into the housing) has again snapped off. Epoxy isn't durable enough for repairs, it broke again.
Ideas? Would a regular powerhead spread out the flow enough? I do not have the budget for vortech, unfortunately.
