Kenya tree - No bueno for sps?

[i have a kenya tree that has doubled in size in about a month. I didnt realize that they grew quite this fast. It is almost tall enough to reach some of my SPS. Im pretty sure this would be bad for the SPS frags so i was wondering if i could cut it at the base and move it without it dying. Any suggestions?]
 
[Since the Kenya tree is self fraging, and you can watch the ends twist off and land all over the tank I would not cut it.

We had a coral propagation workshop a couple of months ago and the frags that were cut didn't do as well as I hoped.

The next time I go to frag this I am thinking about using a rubber band and slowly squeeze the frag off the main trunk sort of like when it self frags.
Once I have the frag I will use fishing line to attack it to another rock.]
 
[Im posting a picture. There is one branch that is starting to bend over and looks real weak. Is that how it frags itself? The branches
get too long and fall off??

Also, the red line represents how big it was when i put it in there about a month ago. Ive got a couple of these that are growing out of proportion. When they do frag ill let everyone know Im willing to trade. Ill let you know first Rick.]
