Kenya problems

I'll attach pictures later in the thread.

I have had a 4-6" Kenya for about 3 weeks now that just looks grey and withered. The picture I selected it from was fabulous, pinkish standing tall.

I just got a small kenya frag from dp1416 yesterday that was equally good looking as my original until about two hours ago and it too is withered looking.

The remaining corals in the tank are Toadstool 7-8", ricordia mushrooms, 2 frogspawn colonies, hammer, several leathers, colt. All are unchanged....good looking and appear happy.

Am I doing something wrong with current or lighting? The new kenya frag in on the sand, the original is about 8" from the water on a rock. Wait it out?

Pictures to follow.

The exisiting kenya (mistaken, moved it to the sand as well....it looked like this prior to the move):

It will be fine. They shed a skin or tend to look like that when they are fragging themselves. Mine do it quite often.

I posted the same thing a while back when mine did it.

Today it is fine and healthy.

I agree 100%. Last night i ripped out 4 or five mini trees. They seem to be quite agressive or toxic. They fell on a zoa frag and the thing melted away. Ill probaly never add one to a new tank again.

Hey Michael I wish I had some insight!!! but mine did the same thing and died!!! I have one frag left its 1" tall and has not grown at all in over a yr!!! Everyone says Xenia and Kenya are easy but i never have luck with them...everything else including clams do great in my tank...but not this stuff...i dont get it.. I hope you have better luck..
