Kelp (not really) FS

Ever wanted your own little kelp forest? Now’s your chance! I’m trimming back my macro tank and have a significant amount of Caulerpa prolifera. It takes root in sand beds and on rock. Each blade is about 4 inches long. $20 will get you a fist sized bunch. I also have some various red macro algae trimmings and if you want Caulerpa lentillifera, I’ve got loads of that too. Photos from the internet but they are exactly what you’re getting just better photos.

Located near Marsh and the PGBT.

Took it to Aquastudios. If you find this thread months in the future, don’t hesitate to reach out or post on it. The tank is constantly growing more!

C. lentillifera is the sea grapes. Fun fact it’s eaten like a salad by some people. Pops in your mouth like little salty bobas.

I don’t see why not. Just rinse it before hand. I’ve seen videos of a farm in Okinawa where it’s grown in large tanks under sunlight. Are you interested in some?

Pulled out a full quart size ziplock bag of grape caulerpa yesterday. I have no shortage haha. Some pics under blue and white light.
