Keeping tang alive

does anyone have ideas how to keep like a brown powder or Achilles tang alive? I tried the past 2 years and I can’t never keep it alive.
 
<hr />My tank is 120gal,48x24x24. Regular sump. Cheteo on bottom, use my vertex alpha 170 as protein skimmer, radion light, I feed them pellets, mysis shrimp, seaweeds, change water every two month, dose with brs 1.1 ml. I mean I have Red Sea sailfin tangs. Leopard wrasse, bangai, two anthais.
 
No direct experience, but the few I've seen have been in big (as in 300+ gallon) tanks.  Generally higher flow, and they all ate like pigs.  I suspect they are like copper bands that ensuring you have a specimen that is eating before buying is important.
