i went to a LFS in new braunsfels and saw a clam about 3 inches away from the top of the water in a nanocube. It was brown and had barely any coloration to it at all. From looking at the clams on the message boards i looked like a clam i had never seen. I read on the side it was a T. crocea and looked it up when i got home (i have never owned a clam before). After browsing a bit i read that these clams need intense lighting to survive and thrive and went right back up there and bought it. Now it is changing from a dull brown to a purple-bluish color. Once i get my camera back from a friend i will take some pictures.
