Jebao WP40 Failures

I know a lot of us got in a group buy over a year ago for the WP40 and I got 2 of them. They have lasted well up until last week when they both died within days of each other. I checked the power supply through the controller and its getting 24v, 5v so its not the supply. It seems that the actual unit is just dead on both of them.

Anyone have similar experiences? Anyone with the newer revisions of it have better luck? These seem to be worth the cheap price....die within 9 months. From reading online it appears this is common.

Did you clean them and give them a Vinegar bath? At the first sign of acting up, I clean mine and they work like new after a good cleaning. I have also bought a replacement, Just the pump, no power supply, or controller. here is a link for one on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KHBGJJI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Providing an update regarding WP 60's. I have gone through several power supplies on these pumps, with the last one been replaced by Fish-Street and it was DOA. They are now refusing to warranty them.

Lesson learned. I should have never got rid off my Tunze's.

I had a power supply catch on fire, the fire dept got there before the home caught fire... Still finding fire ext powder in the home... lession learned.

Take apart and clean the shafts. Sometimes they get a calcium scale buildup. I have had one go bad after a year, and a half, too, though.
