Hi i'm jason and I'm new here but not new to the hobby. I started this build because a friend had the bright idea to set up a 40 breeder..... So we did... Alot of LOOOOONNNNG nights and alot of broken glass later we have finally finished.

Vortec MP40 ( 2 inch wave)
1 1/2 in overflow two 3/4 in returns on a squid

two 250w 20k mh
two 96w pc ( going to switch to vho)
all run by Reef Keeper 2
I hope you like it I love it Thank you
Jay-Roc

alot of nice equipment, should work out well. i love the 40 breeder footprint, i had one set up for quite a while and thought it was too cool. looking forward to pics!

Thanks I cant wait till my frags grow It is going to really nice at that point. I gotta find the first pics that were taken so i can start from the beginning then I can post them... I thought I had them but they wernt in my photobucket. maybe I'll have them tonight and then ill put them up. I really think it is funny how similar mine and dave's tanks are you should check his build out and when I get my pics on here you will see. I dont think he has ever seen my tank and I deffinately havnt seen his.

I don't have all of the build pics Ill go ahead and post what I've got. I guess this build thread is going to be backwards lol. Sorry guys When I get my hands on the beginning pics Ill post them. Ill post a link on my build so you can see the beginning of this build for anyone who is interested.

Here is one of the first designs. The overflow was all the wat on the right, This made A LOT of noise when the wave would spill over into it. This was all before the back glass cracked ,and after the closed loop was installed and that glass cracked. :x
Here you go....I hope you like it.

Im in Killeen about an hour north of Austin and an hour south of Waco.
We cut the glass out and replaced it 3 times ... 1st time it cracked when I was gluing the closed loop together, 2nd time we were water testing the tank (we decided to not do the closed loop after the 1st time) we were fitting the back in place on the stand to hold the canopy and it was hitting the return and broke the glass . 3rd time the overflow pipe hit the table we were water testing it on and CRACK! :| So after all this I just went and bought a new tank drilled it and so far all is good.

Here are some updated pics I took with my new camera. I don't quite know how to use it yet all of these were taken on the auto setting but when I learn how to adjust then the will hopefully be clearer.
