Jawfish went missing overnight

I've had my bluespot for several months in a nano and he was great, I transferred him into my 75 a week ago and he seemed to be adjusting well. But when I woke up this morning he was nowhere to be found. At first I thought he jumped out but I never found him lying around. I don't have any crabs other than hermits, but I have seen a lot of brittle worms lately, could they be considered suspects?

I'd only suspect the crabs of murder if they haven't been eating anything and were in the verge of starvation. Same for the bristtle worms. They'd eat him if her were dead, but jawfish don't "sleep hard" like fish that lock themselves into cracks at night. If he were disturbed, he'd move or react. Perhaps he's just hiding for the moment? I have 4 jawfish, and sometimes only 2 or 3 are out and around...
