J Dieck Calculator and Calcium Hardness

I need to add some calcium to my tank and I have the Calcium Hardness (calcium chloride) from the pool store, but I can't remember which measurement to use when using the jdieck calculator (http://jdieck1.home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chemcalc.html). There are two listed calcium chloride products to choose from on the website (Dow's Flake and ESV Chloride Calcium), but each have a different result which creates my confusion. Can anyone tell me which measurement to use? Thanks.

I'm not sure myself, because I've never used that product. Hopefully someone will chime in soon. Maybe DaveJ has used it?

My thought is to add a small dose and measure the results.
I sometimes use Seachem Reef Advantage, which is largely calcium chloride. Using the J Dieck calculator and plugging in 50gal and a desire to increase calcium only 10ppm (300 up to 310), it would take approx 1 teaspoon of Reef Advantage, and almost the same dose of Dow's Flake.

I would have no fear of trying 1tsp per 50gal and comparing before and after test results, simply thinking that basically calcium chloride is calcium chloride. This test dosage would not make a big change but would reveal the actual dosage rate you're needing.

And don't forget about magnesium and strontium that needs to accompany calcium, so I hear.
