It always seems like the coral I really like and spend more money on always go to crap. :?

I bought a rainbow and a pokerstar monti from the group buy two weeks ago the rainbow was awesome when it arrived, but has gone to crap everyday since. All my parameters are good and as you can see the pokerstar is doing fine... Oh well :sad:
 
mine is opposite my rainbow is fine but my poker star is browned out. i am going to try a 20% water change. I switched to red sea coral pro hopefully that will color it back up
 
I had a frag that I got brown out for a month or so and then colored back up. You never know it may just need to adjust to your tank.
 
I keep my magnesium up around 1350 and there's not any nudi's. All of my corals are doing fine, so I'm pretty sure it's just the coral.

What lights are you running? Because I'm thinking the rainbow came from a 20K system and I run XM10K's.
 
I had a Superman monti do the same thing some time ago. At what level in the tank is the frag? In my case, I did raise it somewhat, and it proceeded to color up.

i run reeflux 12k de... i had them near the the top prob foot from water line...now i moved them down to the sand...to hopefully color up.

when i talked to him he said he runs the big L3 lumenarcs but from what i remember right he has them almost three feet off the tanks so he can cover a big area....so i figured i was burning them so i moved mine down to the sand. I will post a pic whn batteries on my camera charges up...it is spreading but a bunch of brown polyps

This is what he runs

14k and 20k Metal Halide using 2 400 watt bulbs and 2 250 watt HQI bulbs supplemented
 
here are two pics with my camera phone..... i have a superman monti that also bought but colors are true still and i still have that frag foot from water line...crossing fingers water change and new salt will color the frag back up...my last water change was the bottom came from the bottom of my salt bucket
 
didnt mean to hijack the thread but if yours colors up post on here so i can try on my coral
