Is my scooter blenny crazy?

almost every night after the lights go out my scooter goes nose up to the surface and lets the current carry him around the tank. he goes around and around. At first i thought he was dead, but he will move if he gets stuck in a corner. It really is pretty funny. I didnt know if this is something that they do, or if mine is just nuts!
 
My target Mandarin Does the exact same thing... She sleeps like that you can actully touch her lol and she still wont wake up.... :roll:
 
The fish could be doing this due to a lack of oxygen. Make sure you have lots of water surface movement and you could also add an air stone if you worried about it. :)
 
Just a quick question, what is everyone feeding their scooters? We picked up two of them about a month ago and found out later after doing a little research that they eat pods. What else can i feed them to supplement the pods?

Mine does the same as No_Floaters, only her little bug eyes showing above the sand at night.

splatee- when I first got mine she LOVED bloodworms and brine (not the best things for her), but now she accepts mysis.
 
Never seen my scooter do the floating thing. Does hide in the sand like marie33 and no_floater, looks funny when he comes out as he has sand on his head for a while. My daugter calls it a sand hat.
 
I dont think my mandarin did it because of lack of air.. I had a micro bubble problem with my CL for a while and it would do it then and now that I removed the CL it still does it from time to time..
 
i put the surface skimmer back on the remora. hopefully that will allow for more oxygen exchange at the surface. I hate to think i was suffocating the poor thing.
