Hello all,

I am 25, an Accountant, currently live in Valley Ranch, and been living in Dallas all of my life (except my college years... as an Aggie).

I have been into fish keeping all my life as well, but only FW. I am moving in the next couple months and plan to begin setting up a Reef Tank. Probably ~180g, maybe a little larger.

I will be joining DFWMAS officially once I get started as well, maybe sooner so I can start heading to some meetings.

Look forward to meeting some of y'all soon!

Cliff

Welcome. I don't think you will find a better place to learn about a saltwater aquarium and answers to all of your questions.

Howdy and welcome! You say you're an Aggie, so I'll type slowly for your benefit...

Feel free to step up and ask questions and make comments; we're generally a friendly and helpful lot...

Welcome Cliff!!!

Go ahead and come to the meetings. We don't restrict them to just members, everyone is welcome. We will also be having a tank tour in the NE Tarrant area in ealry May so that may be a good time to see some of the tanks in the club and get some ideas for yours. In any case, good to have you aboard.

Hey Cliff,

I'm just a hop skip and jump from you in Coppell so let's go eat sometime. You're welcome to come see my new 400 gal monster.

Hello and WELCOME

YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!!!!!!!! The guys and gals around here are the best. You need to read some of the older post to get a feel for what you would like and the things you need. A really good thread is "don't waste your money on..." that way you can buy things once and be happy with it. Good luck in the salts.

have a great day Breezy
ps I am a newbie too

Welcome to the boards! You are goig to love this group! extremely helpful. I look forward to you documenting your reef build progress.

I haven't seen a build thread. Maybe I have just missed it. Anywho, I'd love to see pics of that!

No one will hold that over you too long. And you might find one or two bethren among the group. But you very welcome to ask questions or read as much as possible. I think the key to a good start is doing a lot of reading.

thanks all!

decided today that I am sticking around in my current house rather than moving, so... the project is getting pushed up to next week to begin :)

my tank will be a 180g. 4x2.5x2.5.

Anyone nearby that has some tanks I can check out would be greatly appreciated. MarineSnow, I will send you a PM to set something up. Of course the 400g will just make me envious and realize how small my 180 is :)

I need to step up my reading in the mean time.
