In Wall Tank- need advice

Ok, so I'm learning tons here about reef keeping and I'm preparing my equipment for my 110 gallon SPS dominated reef. Now that I've learned alot from everyone on tanks, here is my next step...

I wanted to get a heads up on what it takes to build a tank in wall. I was hoping to see more pictures of in wall tanks on the "in wall tank" thread, but here are my questions...

(I don't know much about housing construction, so please hang in there with me if my questions seem no brainers)

What construction is needed in preparing a tank cut out?

And is this something I can do with a buddy, or does an electrician need to come and check out wiring in the walls?

What do you look for when finding what wall the tank will go in? (such as space to maintain tank and move around in and what room will be best to house all the equipment? How do yall go about finding the right spot for your tank?

Thanks alot in advance!

ventilation is really important. check out reefcentral some good in wall biulds on there...if you sign up for to become a paid member for dfwmas you can do a search for in wall builds...quite of few in the last year. also the same with reefcentral.

This is also something I've seen. Every in wall tank I've seen has a custom stand made, with the front of the stand flat without moulding. Is that so the front of the stand will be flush with the wall, since most store bought stands have some moulding around the edges, making it not flush against the wall?

Here is my 280g inwall thread.

It is now over 430+ long, but the first 30 pages are all about the 14 day project.
