Ideas on wet/dry.. sump?

[We have just set up a 100g and are wanting/needing a wet dry to place under. Any ideas or suggestions on how to turn a 40g acrylic seaclear tank with a built in wet/dry in the back into what we need?]

[You shouldn't have any major problems converting that tank to a nice sump setup. Marc can probably give you some pointers there. I think most people around here agree that the wet /dry is a thing of the past. The dry part (trickle) is a nitrate factory. If you are starting a fish only tank you can get by with more nitrates but a reef setup does not like nitrates. You can make modifications so that it becomes a sump and or refugium. This can be used for any situation. It might be helpful to post some pictures if you want specific advice about the conversion.]

[FOWLR is what it is intended to be. We currently have about 150 lbs LR in it and some damsels.

I will work on getting pictures of it. Today we are testing it to see if it holds water, if not then there is no need to know how to convert it. :)]
