ID..... reef hot dogs

Here are some hot dog string like things that appeared in my tank today. Frank seems to think they probably clown eggs... I have a pair of black clowns.... so its very possible. Anyone with clowns who lay eggs care to confirm??

There were two types of these things, pink and white both.

My Clarkii's lay eggs all the time.......... The first day they are a bright orange, and look like big clutch of pin heads and get darker as the days go by.

Marc's ID page - see top row for example

I've seen bristleworms spawn before, but as soon as that pink stuff hit the water, it dissipated. Perhaps some type of snail eggs, but definitely not clownfish eggs. They don't lay them in strings.

No, I've never seen either. Cucumbers (at least the ones I know of) twist and tear themselves in half.

Well... I think I may have found out what these are... my cuke is looking VERY thin today. Its still movin around etc... but its a shadow of what it was earlier in the week. So either its spawned or it blew some guts out.

There are very few left today so something had a snack.
