ID Please

Can someone help me id this thing please? They seems to come out when the lights are off and this pic was taken just after the lights came on. They do not seem to be harming anything.

and won't reproduce like most pest anemones. said:
Sorry, have to beg to differ on that one. They're seriously taking over my tank & bugging the crap outta my corals. I have more than 50 in my 55 gallon tank. I can't manage to kill them with lemon juice, hot water, kalk, peroxide, or any combination thereof. They eat it, look like they're gonna die, then come back stronger & laughing at me. If you have an SPS tank they probably won't reproduce like crazy, if you have a softy/LPS tank where you feed your corals they'll love it.

Ive noticed the few that I have in my tank do not like light. With my LEDs they have moved to the bottom of the rocks and in shaded area.

Thank everyone for the help. I think that you may be right on the ball anemone after looking at some online. The thing that I have not been able to find is if they are a pest or not. My biggest concern is that they are on prime realestate on a big piece of pukani rock right in the middle/top of the tank. Will they attack other coral like a zoas or lps?

They will irritate them, that's the issue I have (plus them taking over). They're related to mushrooms, so they'll thrive in nutrient rich tanks like mine. So far I'm the only person I know of that actually has a problem with them. For me they're the biggest pest in my tank, for others not so much.

You can inject it with vinegar if you get the chance. $0.25 per needle at Walmart plus $2.00 for a small bottle of white distilled vinegar.

You can also just put a nice Elegance coral right next to it. A tad more expensive but it looks nice. :p Say around $50 - $70 for a small one.

I tried vinegar, vinegar & kalk, lemon juice, lemon juice & kalk, and peroxide & kalk. Mine mocked me for it. LOL

+100
I bought discounted live rock 11 years ago covered in majano anemones (50 lb) and killed 100's of them by feeding the a Kalk paste similar to Joe's Juice.

Still have the rock and they never came back.
