ID please..

I am sorry, but I can not get a pic of it. I have spots on my glass this morning that I need a magnifying glass to see. They are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence and the same shape, perfectly circular. They are pure white, and look like a stick figure "sun", a ring with 9 small arms radiating out at perfect intervals. There is a white dot in the middle of the ring. I believe there to be very fine thread tenticles coming off ot it also. Dang they're small..! There are a dozen or so on my glass this morning...

Ideas? Good? Bad??

Could be anything from a starfish to hydriods. If they are solid, or firm, its probably starfish, if they are mooshy, gelatin like, I would guess Hydroids. Not all hydroids are bad, but if you can get them out I would.

Thanks guys, it is definitely a Hydroid. I found a pic of it on a seahorse sight. This is exactly what it looks like. Guess I will just keep my glass clean and hope they go away. This was interesting...

"Hydroids are known to survive on the shells of brine eggs and can suddenly appear in your dwarf tank"...

I am sure that is where I got them... Part of my feeding regimen includes frozen brine...It would not surprise me at all if the little buggers aren't in a cryogenic state in the food...

Thanks again...
