ID please

These polyps are are super tiny... What are they?

They started as a few scattered polyps, and now cover the rock in a mat. When they retract they are the size of a grain of sand, and when opened like in the picture each polyp is about the size of a pin head.

Notice how small they are in comparison to the zoas.

They look like little snowflakes...

They looked like this 4 months ago...

This is what I think it may be...is it blue?

I forget what they are called but they come in on a lot of the aussie stuff and are rather intrusive once they get hold, just like GSP etc. I make a habit of killing them off as much as possible to avoid them overrunning things.

Stoloniferan just means that it has an encrusting flesh below the polyps... It may be one, but that is a broad classification containing GSP, Clove Polyps, and Pipe Organ Corals...

I'm still looking for a more detailed ID however...

When they come in they are called "Blue Anthelia" or "Blue Xenia." Not sure what they actually are but they are very closely related to Clove Polyps, Daisy Polyps, etc.
