I was vacuuming the detritus from my sump and saw this on the side of the acrylic. It is about 4" long. I went to melevsreef but did not see anything like it on his id page. it moves it those branhes around and pulls it to its mouth.

It looks like a filter feeding cucumber. Neat! 4 as in 4" long?

That looks awesome man! No clue what it is, maybe one of those sea slugs?

Looks like you use the same plastic containers I use. Got mine from the dollar general. they work perfect!!

*Edit* If it's the same bowls I use Marc then that bowl is only about 2" across.

I have seen it some were and I think it is a good guy..
I will dig .. I think I saw it for sale at one of those web pages I order from or thought about ordering..

It does look like a cuc..

closer to three inches after looking at a ruler. The bowl is one of those soup containers from delivery chinese food places. I use them to mix my stuff for my tank

Very cool cuke.. the rule of thumb is that the uglier it looks the safer it is. Looks like it's cleaning your sump for you. Only thing I'd worry about is it getting sucked into a pump.

*edit* If you're uncomfortable with the possible toxicity, I'd be happy to stick him in my fuge :)

I would say cucumber too. Lowest flow area you have, as he otherwise will likely ultimately get stuck on the side of a powerhead or sucked in by the overflow.

That is a funny rule. I'd not heard that one.
