I feel Sooooo guilty.

Under the advice of this board to get my cyno under control, I have increased my flow, and reduced my feeding from 2 cubes a day - to 1 cube a day since sunday. I feed my fish the same time everyday (as soon as I get home). My fish seems to now this because they get very excited when I walk in the house. Now because I only give them one cube, the expression they give me is -- Is that it, I'm still hungry  . I find it funny that I actually feel really guilty for doing this and a sense of being mean, because they have to depend on me for their survival, but I have to keep telling myself - its for their own good...

Just thought I would share my feelings, it has been bothering me.

I feel your pain. My fish gets so excited when I feed him. I usually feed him until he doesnt want to eat anymore and I have been trying to cut back.

I know how you fill... I have a fish trap in trying to catch the yellow damsel...

well he has not gone it it but he has been chasing the oters away so he knows the food is in there...

when it is feeding time they all go to what I call Skull moutain.. Even the shrimp..

Poor things.. I have not feed them because I want the yellow tang to get the food from the trap..

It does make you fill bad ... you try splitting the cube in half... that may help some.. keep them on schedule while you work on getting it under control..

Just because they want more doesn't mean it's good for them. Most animals will eat if it's available, they aren't used to to much being available! They eat when they can because they are hard wired that way.

That's OK. I have a Lubbock's Wrasse that's been in my refugium for 3 days now. I'm just too darned lazy to dig him out of there and ask what he was thinking when he went into the overflow, through the u-tube, up then down the durso, squeezed through the valve leading to the refugium then rode the spa-flex down to his current position.
