I.D. Zoa and More Questions

Hey Guys,

I found these Zoas on a piece of rock that I bought from DNA a while back and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these were.

Here is a pic of them:

Also if you can see in that pic, a little bit over to the left and down from the Zoas, you can see what look like smaller Zoas forming. Is that what those are or are they dying Zoas or what? There are also a little right above the Zoas that look a little bluer, they are actually bluer in person as well, so idk why they differe in color from the ones on the left side.

Thanks for any info you guys can give.

Zoanthids colors can change depending on the light. One color in someone's tank can change to another somewhere else. There is a catalog website of zoas used to be called zoaid- u could check there to compare.

As far as the small ones on the lower left, probably just some hijacking polyps of some sort. There are tons of small stuff that will popup out of nowhere. I had some palys on a rock that was sitting in the garage in cold hypersaline water with a powerhead on it for a year. They came back to life when I put the rock back into a tank!

-realy!!
-that wasnt a "comercial link"....
-just an ID page of the zoas in question- nothing is " for sale" there...
- a correct, local reference for ID of zoas & palys
I believe these are the zoas in question...
