well i didnt break it but it did break. the prop broke off of the rotor assembly. i dont know how it happend but it did. i was running the filter that comes with it so i doubt a snail fell in. Any vortech users ever have this happen before. I looked at the diagram and it doesnt look like it suppose to come off so i assume it broke off

I've not bought the new MP10 yet, so I don't know what the parts look like, but it appears like the base of the propellar's shaft has some minor wear/damage there.

If you contact Ecotech Marine, they will ask for some photos like the one above to send you the right part and get it resolved.

I've noticed that the mp10 has a bonded prop to rotor assembly is the mp20 and mp40 screwed on I've seen pictures of a bolt in front of the prop

I'm filling out the service paperwork right now I'm going to be contacting them shortly but from what I understand their customer service is a+ so I'm not to mad about it breaking

I like all the blinky lights and the flow options. Its such a cool little gadget. I can get a small wave going in my 40 breeder with one mp10.

im running two in my 72 bowfront though i cant get a wave going it still a heck of a lot of flow compared to my K2 pumps. im seeing more polyp extension and it seem my fish are liking the long pulse mode. they all seem to congregate on the one long pulse one over the reef crest one. So it seems my tank is happy.
