Hydor Koralia Evolution 750 GPH

Anyone ever seen this switch itself into reverse and suck water in instead of blowing it out?????
I have had it running for a month and i noticed today it was sucking water in (it was blowing out) when i unplugged it and replugged it in it started blowing out again???

Sometimes when i would turn the power off to it in order to feed the fish and then i turned it back on it would start backwards. I never had mine just all of the sudden start turning backwards.

make sure there is a rubber stopper on the grill, it hits the propeller and makes it spin the right way, i have an extra if you need it

The reverse running is not a big deal. It happens with a lot of other power heads besides Koralia. What I have noticed is that whenever we have a power surge out here in the middle of nowhere at least one of mine will begin to run in reverse. As Shmoopy stated, get the rubber stopper. If you can't find one at the LFS you can get them online. I believe these folks may have it. http://aquaticpumpparts.com/category.sc?categoryId=18 They seem to have most parts for Koralia.

Thanks for the info on reverse starts. I just cleaned 1 and placed it back on the tank. It started doing it. I never had this problem before and was a bit confused by it, as I had heard of others with these problem. Yet never experienced it myself !!
