Hydor has GREAT customer service

Hey all,

This may have been brought up before, but I thought I'd just let everyone know about a positive experience I just had with Hydor USA.

My relatively new Hydor Koralia pump just started rattling and buzzing after I cleaned it and I tried several things to get it back to its almost-silent previous state. Nothing worked, so I found the number and gave them a call. Within about a minute the guy on the phone had identified the problem (missing washers), gotten my address, and agreed to send me replacement washers (and an extra set as a back up) free of charge.

He didn't ask for a serial number, he didn't check to see if I'd registered my product, he didn't say I'd have to pay shipping, he just said, "We'll take care of it right away, sir" and let me get back to my day. That is the kind of support in an already expensive and "finicky-equipment-intensive" hobby that will keep me coming back for more.

I'm sure I'd get similar service for a Vortech or Tunze, but for the price of Hydor's product, rarely do you get such great service.

Just thought I'd share with you all, what many of you may already know! Hydor has great service (and, no, I'm not a paid rep). :lol:
 
agreed, i had a k1 that it was simply a matter of "get it to us" not "what happened"

too easy, definitely top notch service
 
Could you tell me their customer service number? I bought a K3 from someone and they forgot to include the outside magnet. They keep saying they'll send it, but it's obviously not at the top of their to-do list since it's been over a month, and I really need to get the pump into my tank. I would like to call Hydor to see if I can just purchase that part.

Got the washers in the mail today (only 2 day turn around) and they worked like a charm and now my wife can watch "So You Think You Can Dance" without looking at me with death in her eyes!

Hazzah--Hydor saved my pump, my corals, and my marriage...Wow that is amazing customer service!

Okay, maybe that's a wee bit of hyperbole, but they are good! :D
