How to remove or kill GSP?

I keep trying to pull up an edge of the mat, but it keeps breaking off in small chunks. Is there another way that doesn't involve putting glue or epoxy over it?

Thanks...Joe

are they on a rock?
you can frag a piece for youself and attach it to the back glass of the tank and sell the rest on the rock. This way, you can scrap them off easily when they're on the glass, and it looks cool

don't kill them, bring them to lfs, they'll give you store credit, or sell them for $$

It used to grow on the sand bed, so I would pull off a chunk and take it to the LFS like you said. I rearranged the rock and now it grows on the rock into my zoas and sps and I can't stop it. Unfortunately, the GSP is on the biggest rock in the tank, so I'd rather not sell the whole rock.

Thanks...Joe

bump...No one else has had this problem? I'd rather not kill it, but all I can pull up is tiny little chunks. Is there anyway to control where it grows?

Disclaimer - I've never had GSP...

But... When I'm fragging my invasive Zoanthids, I take a knife, jab it into the ROCK under the polyps and try to work through the top layer of the rock, scraping off the outer layer of coraline, taking the zoanthids with it... Dunno if that'd work for you, but it'd be worth a shot at least...

It is hard. I tried to cover a little bit of GSP with a trash bag for a month to starve out the light. It survived.

I Killed it by putting the rock in the hot sun for a week. I then scrubed the rock clean. Put the rock in a ten gal tank with a large power head and re cured the rock.

But... When I'm fragging my invasive Zoanthids said:
I'm gonna try this next, in a few days. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to go the route of epoxy. I love the GSP but its trying to take over.

Thanks everyone
