How to hook chiller to aqua controller

I want to hook my chiller up to my ACjr w/ DC8. So how do i bypass the chillers controller and give the chiller constant power. It is 1/4 HP Pacific Coast chiller. Ill try calling PC tomorrow if no one can help me out. Thanks

I don't know that I'd want to bypass the controller on the chiller- how about setting it to a lower setpoint than the AC Jr? (Does it have to be set each time the chiller is powered up?)

You set the controller on the chiller to cool down to 75. You set the ACjr to come on at 78 and cool to 77. (Random numbers) The chiller will be off with no power until the ACjr turns it on. It will come on cooling because the set point is lower than the set points of the ACjr. When the ACjr turns it off again, it will just remember the same set points and work according to when the ACjr turns the power to it on and off. You keep the water pumped through it continously.

Thats a really good idea but the control panel doesnt work on the chiller it is set at 78 and turns off at 82.

Hi,
You may want to make sure your DC8 can handle the current draw of your chiller as well as all of your other items. You may have to get a DC4HD or find another solution if the DC8 can't handle it.

Cheers,

Are you saying that it is broken and can not change the set points on the chiller controller? If that is the case, I am not sure what you can do. I guess you bought this used? The way it looks it comes on at 82 and cools down to 78. That seems like a wide gap.
