how to build a aquarium hanging light rack?

i live in a apartment and i am fixing to put a 36in. 6 bulb tek light over my 29g. and can use the legs or hang from ceiling... i have seen racks or hanging kits that are like pipes or metal tubing that the light hangs on to i am thinking of making one out of pvc... let me know how you would do it..
 
I will be doing mine out of 3/4-1" conduit with a pipe bender and I will also be posting updates as I build it through out the time being hopefully everything will work fine and it will be cheap and effective. I will paint it black and have end caps on it as well
